Anna Giovanna Pardo Canedo
started her musical studies at the Institute Eduardo Laredo. She received her secondary and arts degree in 2003, with as specialization both Voice and Piano.
In 2004 she won the National Singing Competitions ‘Das Lied’ organized by the Goethe-Institute in La Paz, Bolivia.
In 2011 she obtained her Master degree for Classical Singing and won the Alfred Aerens Price as the most rewarding singing student at Ghent Conservatory.
Anna participated in several projects and opera productions throughout Europe and South-America, i.a. with Dirk Brossé, Michel Tilkin, James Halliday, Yannis Pouspourikas, Henk Soenen, Eric Lederhandler, Marc M. De Smet, Gidon Saks, Guy Penson, Andrew Wise, Sandra Lammens, Dick van der Harst, Arte Vocale (led by Erika Pauwels), Felipe Ugarte and Elizabeth Schwimmer...
She was a student of Tom Kraus at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía (ESMRS) in Madrid where she received in 2013 the price of most rewarding singing student at ESMRS, awarded by Reina Sofía, the Queen of Spain. She followed lessons with Catherine Vandevelde.
Anna's current vocal coach is the famous soprano and coach Lena Lootens. Anna also works together with the Spanish pianist Ángel Cabrera, the English pianist, conductor and composer Andrew Wise and the Belgian pianist and composer Sandra Lammens. Since 2012, she is also a member of the Warped Time Ensemble.
She was a finalist in the International Singing competition Colmenar Viejo in 2013 and semifinalist in the Queen Elisabeth Competition in 2014.
