Ensemble d'Atlántico's debut CD presents an anthology of their favourite music from both continents, as they search for these similarities while embracing the differences between our different cultures. Music is their ocean and this CD takes the listener on a journey to both continents.

What is an ocean? Something that divides or connects?
The two sides of the Atlantic seem in our times closer than ever. Did you know that our music has long been so? Iberian and Latin American music are linked not only by language but also by style, Arabian-influenced harmony and African dance rhythms. How far apart are the Habanera and the Tango? Both are originally from Latin America, the habanera from Cuba and the tango from Argentina, but we associate the habanera with Spain and the tango with Argentina and with Buenos Aires in particular.
