Cruzando Océanos is the debut CD of Ensemble d'Atlántico.
The two sides of the Atlantic seem in our times closer than ever. Our music has always been so. Iberian and Latin American music are linked not only by language but also by style, Arabian-influenced harmony and dance rhythm.
MAVIS, a young vocal ensemble founded in 2023.
What unites them is their love for singing in all its forms: polyphony, contemporary music, and arrangements of pop songs. They perform everything by heart, allowing them to sing freely and connect directly with the audience.
Their first program, Love is a Thing with Feathers, has taken them to many stages across Flanders over the past year. The responses from listeners – from choir enthusiasts to people discovering a vocal ensemble for the very first time – have been truly heartwarming. Their enthusiasm now gives them the courage to take the next step: the recording of their debut album. The release concert for this album will follow on Sunday, 7 June 2026.
