Commemoration 80 years Hiroshima & Nagasaki
We will commemorate the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Ghent in 1945. On the 80th anniversary of the bombing, the surviving Hibakusha want to draw renewed global attention to the immense human suffering these bombs can cause.

About the event
On Sunday, August 10, 2025, we will commemorate the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Ghent in 1945. On the 80th anniversary of the bombing, the surviving Hibakusha want to draw renewed global attention to the immense human suffering these bombs can cause. And given the current geopolitical climate, characterized by rising military spending and militarization, we especially want to emphasize the enduring danger posed by nuclear weapons to the world.
