Ensemble d'Atlántico was born out of years of fine and productive collaboration between Anna, Andrew and Tille ... musicians from different continents looking for similarities but also differences between cultures and harmonies over time.
What is an ocean? Something that splits or connects?
Music is our ocean and we would like to take you with d'Atlántico
on a journey to (un)expected places.
This ensemble feels and complements each other perfectly, inspired by Andrew's enchanting keyboard playing, beautifully complemented by the colourful sounds of Tille's flute, Anna's voice penetrates into the depths of your heart
and touches the unmoved.
With Xavier Montsalvatge, Fernando Obradors, Manuel De Falla, Ernesto Halffter and Joaquín Rodrigo, we travel to Spain, while Eduardo Caba, Ariel Ramirez, and Heitor Villa-Lobos transport us to Latin-American places.
“Cantares Populares” is a southern programme of powerful fiery passion interspersed with the modesty and purity of musical simplicity.
Be charmed and moved by this engaging ensemble.
